The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Shanghai Yida Hospital is a professional discipline integrating medical treatment, preventive health care, teaching and research. The department has general gynecology outpatient services, family planning outpatient services, reproductive health and infertility outpatient services, and cervical specialty disease outpatient services. It will also gradually develop specialties in Obstetrics and Eugenics & Healthy Childrearing, and is preparing to establish a Postpartum Care Center.

The department is equipped with a number of advanced examination and treatment devices, such as digital electronic colposcope, cervical LEEP knife equipment, ozone atomization therapy device, photonic therapy device, microwave therapy device, red light therapy device, photodynamic therapy device, photoelectric integrated colposcope, pelvic floor muscle rehabilitation therapy device, and gynecological comprehensive therapy machine.

The department has strong professional and technical strength, led by two doctors with doctoral degrees. It is proficient in performing gynecological laparoscopic surgeries and surgeries for gynecological tumors, as well as diagnosing and treating diseases such as infertility, female endocrine disorders, polycystic ovary syndrome, irregular menstruation, abnormal uterine bleeding, and recurrent miscarriage.
