The Ophthalmology Department of Shanghai Yida Hospital integrates clinical practice and scientific research. It aims to meet the standards of key disciplines construction in Qingpu District, Shanghai. It has modern outpatient and inpatient wards. The medical team consists of senior experts with doctoral or master's degrees and decades of clinical experience, along with a professional nursing team. This team is dedicated to providing patients with sophisticated and standardized characteristic diagnosis, treatment, and specialized nursing care.

The Ophthalmology Department has three diagnosis and treatment centers, namely, the Comprehensive Eye Disease Center, the Optometry Center, and the Refractive Center. It also offers five specialized clinics for dry eye, cataract, diabetic retinopathy, refractive error correction, and juvenile myopia prevention and control.

l Optometry Center: Provides various myopia prevention and control programs for adolescents, diagnosis and correction of strabismus and amblyopia, and scientific optometry for people of all ages

l Comprehensive Eye Disease Center: Specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of various common, frequently-occurring and difficult ophthalmic diseases: eyelid disorders, lacrimal passage disorders, conjunctival disorders, corneal disorders, fundus diseases, cataract, glaucoma, vitreoretinal diseases, etc.

l Phacoemulsification for cataract, glaucoma drainage valve implantation, combined phacoemulsification and trabeculectomy, lacrimal passage catheterization, pterygium excision, and other class III and class IV surgeries.
