Traditional Chinese Medicine Department of Shanghai Yi Da Hospital adheres to the tenets of "practicing medicine to help the world and saving lives and healing the wounded". It provides integrated internal and external TCM diagnosis and treatment services for patients by using TCM acupuncture, moxibustion, decoction, tincture, powder, infusion, paste and pills. This department has the qualification for social medical insurance for major tumors in traditional Chinese medicine.

The department currently has a team of experts, including 3 provincial and municipal famous TCM doctors, chief physicians, associate chief physicians and attending physicians. The department mainly focuses on three specialties: the expert group led by the "Famous TCM Doctors" studio, the TCM pain center and the TCM pediatrics center. Each center has various specialized disease clinics. Each specialized disease clinic consists of one chief physician, one attending physician, one practicing physician and one assistant physician, forming a work and study team with the experienced guiding the inexperienced. The United Famous TCM Doctors Studio is based on integrating the wisdom of famous TCM doctors, dedicated to solving difficult and complicated diseases, and cultivating young and middle-aged TCM doctors through TCM inheritance.
